Emma Lovewell's Naturally Cozy Home

“What I love most about our home is that we’re in the middle of the woods, surrounded by nature. When you look out any window, you see trees and plants everywhere. It feels like living in a super cozy treehouse.”

Peloton instructor and author Emma Lovewell and her partner, Dave, spent two years transforming their first house through paint, tile, finishes, and fixtures, building a gourmet kitchen and knocking down walls to create an open, inviting feel. The couple then turned to Arhaus to help make the home even more their own, seeking comfortable pieces and natural accents that reflected the beauty of the forest that surrounds it.

“We wanted to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside,” Emma says. “We love mixing materials like natural wood, metal, and different types of fabric.”

Also high on Emma’s priority list were a dual-purpose workspace for her, plenty of storage for everyday items, and an abundance of seating for the friends and family she loves to entertain. Emma visited her local Arhaus showroom to explore every option, carefully selecting each piece to bring her vision to life. A new desk. An artisan-crafted sofa. Thoughtfully designed solutions that disguised storage in style. As her functional workspace and cozy living room came together, so did the home she and Dave had been dreaming of.

“We love sitting by the fire together, watching a movie on this very comfortable, very deep sofa. These are the rooms we use the most, and I’m so glad Arhaus could help me create them.”
