Year after year, we embark on journey after journey to unearth rare handcrafted Asian furniture from the 19th century. Years ago, we delicately transported these treasures to our workshop and brought them back to life, infusing them with new purpose for today’s lifestyles. We love these pieces because of their overall beauty, charm, finish and function. Made of reclaimed woods, these antique inspirations, or 'relics,' are one-of-a-kind. You won’t find two that are exactly alike.

Protect surfaces from hot and/or wet objects with coasters and table pads to preserve the finish and natural characteristics of the wood. Avoid any/all direct sources of heat or sunlight as this may discolor the wood and/or cause cracking. Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Use Guardsman® Wood Polish periodically. Spills should be removed immediately with a damp cloth. Do not use care products that contain ammonia or silicone, as they will cut through the finish and damage your piece. For daily maintenance, use a mild soap and water solution. Towel dry immediately. Avoid exposing your furniture to excessive heat (e.g. by placing it in front of a radiator) as this can cause cracking. A minimum 30cm clearance from heat sources is advised. Never place hot dishes directly on to wooden surfaces; we recommend the use of felt-backed table mats. Prolonged use of hot electrical equipment, such as a television on top of furniture may also cause scorching. Do not? drag pieces across the floor as this will cause damage to joints. Dropping furniture onto corners or feet will also cause damage and leaning backwards on two legs of a chair may weaken joints. Prevent sharp objects such as toys, buckles and heels from coming into contact with your furniture—no scratching please. We also recommend wooden or delicate flooring is protected from possible marking from feet or legs. Arhaus furniture is made with great care and attention to detail. Our collections are distinctive, designed to bring pleasure to you and your home for years to come. Each piece is handcrafted, made using traditional cabinetmaking skills and techniques, and hand painted, distressed and finished to ensure each item is truly unique and individual.
