The Bentley Collection is inspired by the Campaign style of the 18th and 19th centuries. The original Campaign designs were crafted for the gentlemen officer class of the British army. With sea voyages that typically lasted over three months and journeys that ranged from tropical jungles to scorching deserts, ease of transport and assembly were essential considerations in the design. The officers, accustomed to the best, required their traveling furniture in high style. thus, the living room and bedroom suites that graced their tents would also be perfectly suitable in a fashionable London townhouse. Campaign furniture helped make life “under canvas” feel like home. in a modern day sense, this collection can do the same for you. Of course, you can’t fold the Bentley pieces for easy transport, but the concept remains the same: functional details help define successful style.

Product Details

Case frames are joined with the traditional mortise and tenon technique for enhanced support
Made of solid Mindi wood and veneers that is indigenous to Indonesia and has a grain and hardness similar to Ash and Oak hardwoods
The use of Mindi wood veneers over plywood (in tabletop surfaces, side/back panels, drawer boxes) increases structural integrity and prevents warping or cracking
Drawers are connected with tongue and groove joinery to create a solid, secure box
Drawers are full extension and easy removal
Drawer stops are an essential part of the glide design for safety
Features 2 drawers for easily accessible items like remotes, TV guides or movie favorites
One generous shelf is convenient for books, magazines or small display items
Width is deep enough to hold a television but also the ideal size for a coffee table
Bookcases are unique in their design with 2 drawers intermixed with shelving
Adjustable shelves are supported by strong screws; to adjust, remove the screws and move them to a different level of pre-cut holes
Shelves are Mindy veneers over plywood to help eliminate the chance for bowing over time
Optional bridge is designed to connect the tops of two bookcases, pulling the complete look together
Features four separate compartments for display items, books, keepsakes, etc
Rich, multi-layer finish
Seven-step hand finish involves many coats of stain, toner, lacquer and wax
The entire piece is finished even the inside and bottom of each shelf and drawer
All hardware is solid brass, which has been sand cast and acid washed to create a genuine antique look

Recommended Care

The Bentley Collection requires very little maintenance. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On occasion, polish the wood with a non-wax cleaning product such as guardsman® Wood Polish.

Warranty

Arhaus warrants all products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the purchaser's lifetime. Arhaus will repair or at our option, provide reasonably equivalent furniture valued up to the original purchase price. Fabric, leather and material are not covered by this warranty.
