Our Portsmouth Dining Chair captivates. With a design that demands to sit at the head of the table, the exposed back features a refined deconstructed frame. A multi-step finish process dramatizes antique-inspired markings. Nailheads gracefully follow the lines, showcasing a shape that’s fitted in Gage Dove fabric.
Stocked in Gage Dove fabric, a textured patterned fabric of greys, neutrals and a hint of red.
Stocked in aged black, a finish which features brown undertones from the wood underneath and highlights naturally occurring nicks and antique-inspired markings.
The tidy row of nailheads is meticulously tacked into place by skilled upholsterers, lining the chair and adding a polished touch.
Portsmouth’s construction delivers an exceedingly strong and stable frame that is built from a solid beech wood.
The frame is enhanced with a distinctive no-sag construction sustained by a network of resilient sinuous springs that provide flexible and evenly dispersed support.
Cushions feature 1.8-density foam cores a down and polyfiber blend encased in down-proof ticking.
Depending on the type of fabric you select, certain cleaning codes apply. It is extremely important that you adhere to the specifications of cleaning codes in order to get the maximum cleaning results.
S CODE: Spot clean only with water-free cleaning solvent. Do not use water.
For all cleaning codes, pre-test any/all cleaners for color loss and fabric compatibility. Use distilled water when mixing cleaners. Do not over wet.
For overall cleaning, consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
All fabric may fade over time. Wearability of fabric is relative to care and use.
Dust with a soft, dry cloth and buff periodically using Guardsman® Wood Polish.
Spills should be removed immediately with a damp cloth.
Always avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heat (e.g. by placing it in front of a radiator) as this can cause cracking and potential fading of the wood; a minimum 30 cm clearance from heat sources is advised.
Do not drag piece(s) across the floor as this will cause damage or weaken joints.
Dropping furniture onto corners or feet will cause damage.
Leaning backwards on two legs of a chair may weaken joints.
Toys, buckles and heels will scratch furnishings—try to prevent these objects from coming into contact with your piece(s).
