The Green Initiative
When our founders opened the first Arhaus store in Cleveland, Ohio, 35 years ago, they vowed to never use wood harvested from rainforests, and we have built on that pledge every day since. Earth is the home we all share and we know with absolute certainty that it will take all of us, working together, to protect her.
We are as committed to sustainability today as when we first opened our doors, and we promise to continue building our efforts for tomorrow.
Sustainably Sourced Hardwood
Handcrafted in the heart of the North Carolina foothills, our made-in-America upholstery collections feature frames made from hardwood certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
Recycled & Repurposed Materials
Our artisans give beautiful, new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded, from marine plastic removed from the world’s oceans to leather hides cast aside by other industries, hand-hammered recycled metal, and more.
Salvaged & Reclaimed Wood
Stunning silhouettes take shape around some of the most beautiful surfaces on Earth. From ethically salvaged yucca to reclaimed palografico, each plank is hand-finished to accentuate its natural graining and texture.
Furniture Doesn’t Belong in Landfills
Donate your gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials to your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Through our partnership with American Forests, the nation’s oldest conservation organization, we’re planting 250,000 trees across the United States and growing toward our pledge to plant one million. Every tree planted benefits water, wildlife, people, and climate, helping to create a greener future for us all.
Giving New Life to Vintage Treasures
Our team travels the world, salvaging architectural relics and one-of-a-kind antiques throughout their journeys. These treasures find a new home inside every Arhaus showroom, where a unique and ever-changing assortment is waiting to inspire you.
