This collection is crafted from oxidized aluminum and sustainably harvested teak wood, selected for its natural beauty and durability. Individual pieces may vary in color, pattern, shape and texture, making each truly unique.
Oxidized aluminum tabletops and plinth bases are weathered through a chemical process and finished with a protective varnish highlighting one-of-a-kind characteristics.
Our artisan partners in Mexico accentuate the natural teak wood’s characteristics—including splits and cracks—with a multi-step accelerated aging process which includes charring and cooling the wood, wire brushing, staining, and a matte finishing sealant.
Artisan-crafted teak finishes are hand-applied using a wire brush to subtly distress the wood followed by a light stain and sealer that is applied to the surface.
Small imperfections may expose underlying teak wood. If left uncovered, finishes will gradually fade and acquire a beautiful silvery-grey patina (typical of untreated teak wood), adding unique character to your piece.
Teak hardwood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture. Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity.
