Gently dab and blot spills immediately with a damp cloth and allow to air dry. Do not rub the soiled area, as this can damage the natural rope fibers.
For set-in stains, use a soft brush to gently rub the area with mild soapy water, rinsing well and allow to air dry.

Vacuum your pieces periodically using a soft brush attachment or comb the surface with a soft bristle brush. This will help dislodge and remove some debris in between the woven rope.
Cracking may occur if left in direct sunlight or a dry environment. To prevent this, moisten the rattan every month using a damp white cotton cloth and allow to air dry.
As rattan ages, it will take on a muted shade for a lived-in look. To preserve your piece, we recommend using indoors, in three season rooms, or covered outdoor porches and patios only to avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and the elements.
Protect surfaces from incidental marks (like scratching, scorching, and water marks) by using coasters, trivets, felt pads, and non-plastic mats. Wipe up spills immediately.
Excessive sunlight and outdoor elements can damage natural materials over time. To preserve the finish and look of your sunroom or three-season furniture, protect your piece with a furniture cover or store in a temperature-regulated room when not in use.
